little free library

We are pleased to announce that the Town now has its own Little Free Library which is located at the intersection of Chapel’s Cove Road and Conception Bay Highway, next to the Free Pantry.

Residents are encouraged to take a book or leave a book.

We would like to thank our resident, Dianna Grenning for arranging this and also her father, Mr. George Kennedy, a resident of CBS for building the library.

It looks beautiful!!!

OUR LITTLE FREE PANTRIES

We are pleased to announce we have two LITTLE FREE PANTRIES located in our town.  One located by the Town Office, Harbour Main and another at the intersection of the Conception Bay Highway and the turn off going down to Chapel's Cove (known to some residents as Chapel's Cove Cross).

GIVE WHAT YOU CAN

Fireworks

As a reminder to our residents, the Town does have a Nuisance Policy which discourages the use of firearms, fireworks, and/or other similar noise-making devices between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Council encourages all residents to be mindful and respectful of the people around you when setting off fireworks. Fireworks can be incredibly stressful on parents of small children particularly those with sensitivities to noise; individuals with epilepsy, autism, down syndrome, post-traumatic stress disorder and dementia, and their families; and of course, our beloved pets. Please keep this in mind before you set off fireworks at anytime of the day or night.

DID YOU KNOW???

THE RECYCLING BAG HAS TO GO INTO THE GARBAGE, IF INCORRECT ITEMS ARE PLACED IN IT.

TO ASSIST RESIDENTS WITH PROPER RECYCLING REQUIREMENTS OUR GARBAGE COLLECTOR WILL BE PUTTING A STICKER ON INCORRECT BAGS OF RECYCLING AND LEAVING THEM FOR THE HOMEOWNER TO CORRECT AND PLACE OUT ON NEXT RECYCLING DAY.
